Adult Class Policies

  • Payment and Refunds:
  1. One half of the total cost is due upon registration or full payment for classes under $50 to reserve your space.
  2. Your registration fee is non-refundable.
  3. The remaining balance of tuition is due when class begins.
  4. Refunds are only considered if it is for unexpected relocation.
  • Promptness and Absences:
  1. Classes will begin and end on time.
  2. Special arrangements need to be made before class begins if a student needs to leave early or stay later, so that the entire class will not be disrupted.
  3. You are welcome to come 5-10 minutes early if necessary, although if the sewing room door is locked I may be out and will return in time for class. Please wait in your car.
  •  Make up classes:
  1. Please make a commitment to attend class each week, because make up classes are not easily available and each class builds on the next class.
  2. If illness or emergency causes the absence an observation class (a machine may or may not be available) is recommended at no extra charge.
  • Class extras:
  1. If a home sewing project produces a need for extra instruction please plan ahead as I may not be available before or after class without advance notice. (Call ahead of time if you want to bring your project to class to ask questions)
  2. If the extras demand extensive time and attention an hourly rate will be applied.
  •  Sewing Machines:
  1. Machines will be available for your use.
  2. If you have questions about your machine or how to purchase a machine please ask for help.
  3. Ask for more information if interested.
  • Cancellations:

A 2 week notice is required for any cancellations so students on a wait list may be contacted to fill the opening.
